- High fouling resistance
- Good mass transfer efficiency
- High capacity
- Longer run length
Sulzer anti fouling tray technology
Our solutions for your extreme fouling applications
Longer run length of heavy-duty trays achieved through the use of large fixed valves and anti-fouling features on tray decks and downcomers. Sulzer offers SVG™ as our standard anti-fouling valve, UFM™ AF for high vapor handling capacity as well as extra-large size XVG™ for extreme fouling applications. Other anti-fouling tray features such as push valves and enhanced outlet weirs will also be applied.
Sulzer anti fouling tray technology has been successfully applied in all fouling applications including:
- Stripping section of vacuum tower, crude distillation column, visbreaker and hydrocracker main fractionator
- Wash section of coker and visbreaker main fractionator
- Top section of crude distillation unit and coker main fractionator
- Oil quench tower and depropanizer of ethylene plants
- Sour water stripper and wastewater strippers
- Beer column in bio-ethanol plant
- Latex stripper
- Polyvinyl chloride slurry strippers
- Acrylonitrile heads, dry and recovery columns
XVG™
XVG (Extra Large V-Grid) valves are intended for severe fouling services.
The valves can be combined with other anti-fouling design features, such as modified outlet weirs and push valves to minimize the accumulation of solids on trays.
