The SJT/SJM CWP are "engineered to order" large flow vertical pumps for industrial pumping needs and sump design, with semi-open or closed cast impellers available in sizes starting from 650 mm (26") impeller diameter and nq 75 (Ns 3'870). They are mainly designed as cooling water pumps for thermal power and combined-cycle power applications but can also be used in water or other industries.

  • Built to handle all of the downthrust produced by the pump and as much momentary upthrust that may occur
  • Flexible coupling with spacer allows servicing the thrust bearing and mechanical seal as needed
  • One-piece fabricated motor stand housing bolted down over the discharge to protect the bearing and support the motor

Optional features include sandstorm protection, special means for cooling and a constant-level oil lubricator.

  • Cooling water pump (CWP) for gas-fired
    Cooling water pumps (CWP) provide the fresh water to cool the exhaust steam in the condenser and pump it back to the wet cooling tower or the outlet of open cooling system. The major characteristic of the CWP is their high flow. In medium to large size gas-fired combined-cycle power plants, the CWP are vertical column type. In small power plants, the CWP could also be horizontal axially split type.

    Cooling water pumps (CWP) provide fresh water to cool the exhaust steam in the condenser and pump it back to the wet cooling tower or the outlet of open cooling system. The major characteristic of the CWP is their high flow. In medium to large size coal- and oil-fired power plants, the CWP are vertical column type. In small coal and oil captive power plants, the CWP could also be horizontal axially split type.
