Sulzer Chemtech unlocks the potential of Sadara’s columns
The feedback that Sulzer received from Sadara was very positive. Matti Viitanen, Operations Director for Sadara Isocyanates, stated: “Sulzer’s quick identification of the necessary parts as well as its manufacturing and delivery readiness were a big help to us, and is exactly the kind of support we look for in our partners. Given the nature of the tailor-made parts and material requirements, the work done was completed in a very short time and helped to support our return to operations quickly.”
Bob Brandt, Vice President of Manufacturing and Engineering at Sadara also commented, saying: “We very much appreciate the support we received from Sulzer. The turnaround time and the quality of service were exemplary and highlights the strong partnership we have.”
Vijay Thore, Head Operations – TFS Middle East at Sulzer Chemtech, comments: “Customer satisfaction is a key element for Sulzer and we are committed to delivering every project without compromising on quality. Sadara is a joint venture developed by the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) and The Dow Chemical Company. Sadara is a multi-billion dollar world-scale chemical complex in Jubail Industrial City II in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province. Comprised of 26 world-scale manufacturing units, the Sadara chemical complex is the world’s largest to be built in a single phase and is the only chemical company in the Middle East to use refinery liquids, such as naphtha, as feedstock. By using best-in-class technologies to crack refinery liquid feedstock, Sadara will enable many industries that either currently do not exist in Saudi Arabia or only exist through imports of raw materials. The adjacent PlasChem Park, a unique collaboration between Sadara and the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu’, will create more value downstream, generating unprecedented investment, innovation, economic growth and thousands of jobs. https://www.sadara.com/
