After almost 20 years of intensive operation, an update of the electronics of one of the oldest HST 2500 turbocompressors was required. Lately the operator had to switch to manual use on a regular basis to ensure sufficient air supply for the biologic process of the facility.
A solution was needed. Initially the operator planned to update the turbocompressor with a new electronic system.
Since May 2016, Sulzer has offered selected HST 2500 and HST 20 turbocompressors for delivery within 36 hours from the factory in Finland. This fast-track opportunity came at exactly the right time for ERZO. In order to benefit from all the value-adding advantages the new turbocompressor generation offers, ERZO decided to replace the old turbocompressor.
Thanks to the competent and rapid support from Sulzer’s partner BRA turbo Ing AG in Switzerland, the decision was implemented promptly. A HST 2500 turbocompressor from the fast-track process of Sulzer was selected, ordered and delivered.
The experienced BRA turbo team dismounted the old equipment and installed the new HST 2500 turbocompressor.
