Key Social Targets and Achievements Targets
Sulzer aims to reduce its ecological footprint by maintaining or reducing energy consumption, CO2 emissions, and hazardous waste production per net value added. Achievements
The direct CO2 emissions and the energy consumption per net value added increased in 2009 by 7% and 10% respectively, as energy consumption decreased less than sales volumes. Local initiatives were taken to address this issue at the sites concerned. Hazardous waste per net value added decreased by 3%.
