The Precision Machine Shop is specialized in the production of complex components, from single prototype parts to small or medium-size batches, which are utilized in aerospace, turbo machineries, pumps and other demanding applications.

The Laser Surface Engineering group operates several high-power lasers for material processing and offers a wide range of laser welding services.

Experienced welders from the Joining and Heat Treatment group carry out a wide variety of high-quality welding assignments in the Welding Shop or at the customer's site.

Precision Machine Shop

Our operation specializes in producing prototypes and small batches for aerospace companies, special engineering, turbomachinery, and pump manufacturers. With our experienced specialists and modern machines, we are able to perform complex manufacturing processes.

Welding Shop

Weld assemblies involving challenging materials, geometries, and usages are our specialty. Our group does more than manufacture new parts. We can perform repair welding in-house or on-site at your facilities. A whole spectrum of welder training is provided at our shop.

Welding Engineering

Welding engineering is one of our core competencies in the area of production technology. In close cooperation with our machining specialists, we develop engineered manufacturing solutions for complex assemblies. With our expertise and flexibility we will find a solution for your welding task, too.

Manufacturing Engineering

Service provided by our department include Computer-Aided Design (CAD) / Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) support, NC-programming for five-axis simultaneous milling, and optimization of complex production processes. We service both internal clients at Sulzer as well as external customers.

Impeller Manufacturing

To produce open and shrouded impellers, we apply advanced techniques including brazing, T-joint, laser, and slot welding. We can apply the right solution to even the most challenging situations. We can also repair, refurbish, or completely re-engineer replacements for used and damaged parts.
