Personnel changes at Sulzer Turbomachinery Services
Brian McKenzie, member of the executive committee at Sulzer Ltd and division president of Sulzer Turbomachinery Services, a core division of Sulzer Ltd in Winterthur, will leave the company as of November 1, 2004. Peter Alexander, current Head of Business Development of Sulzer Turbomachinery Services will head Sulzer Turbomachinery Services ad interim until a successor is appointed.
Brian McKenzie (46), division president of Sulzer Turbomachinery Services and member of the executive committee has decided to leave the Sulzer Corporation as of November 1, 2004 for personal reasons. He has successfully led Turbomachinery Services and has been instrumental in its continued growth and success. Sulzer thanks Brian McKenzie for his dedication and 22 years of valuable service. Peter Alexan­der (46), since 18 years active in Sulzer’s turbine service activities and currently Head of Busi­ness Development, will lead Sulzer Turbo­machinery Services ad interim. This ensures continuous and competent leadership in the division. A successor as divisional head will be appointed in due course.

The Sulzer Corporation (www.sulzer.com) is comprised of the four core divisions Sulzer Metco (surface technology solutions and services), Sulzer Turbomachinery Services (service and repair of thermal turbomachinery), Sulzer Pumps (pumping solutions and services), Sulzer Chemtech (components and services for separation columns and static mixing), and the venture division Sulzer Hexis (fuel cell systems for residential applications). Sales in 2003 totaled CHF 1826 million. Sulzer currently employs about 9000 people worldwide.

Sulzer Turbomachinery Services (www.sulzerts.com) is one of the world’s most comprehensive independent providers of repair, overhaul, and maintenance services for thermal turbomachinery and other rotating equipment. Also included is the manufacture of key replacement parts, particularly for gas and steam turbines as well as for compressors. This expanding division of the Sulzer Corporation includes the Dutch companies Sulzer Elbar and Sulzer Repco, PT Sulzer Hickham Indonesia, and the US companies Sulzer Hickham und Sulzer Enpro. Sulzer Turbomachinery Service’s net sales in 2003 totaled CHF 200 million. The division employs 1088 employees worldwide as of June 30, 2004.
