Brian McKenzie new Head of Sulzer Turbomachinery Services
Brian McKenzie has been appointed Head of Sulzer Turbomachinery Services, a Division of the Sulzer Corporation headquartered in Winterthur (Switzerland). Per January 1, 2003 he will succeed Ton Büchner, who will take on leadership of the Sulzer Pumps division as of the same date. The 44-year-old Brian McKenzie is currently President of Hickham Industries, La Porte (Texas), the largest unit of Sulzer Turbomachinery Services which he has successfully led for four years, and has been with Sulzer since 1982.

Brian McKenzie, a US citizen and graduate of General Business Studies, has been President of Sulzer Hickham, in La Porte, Texas (USA) for the last four years. He has successfully led this largest unit of Sulzer Turbomachinery Services and has been instrumental for its continued growth and success.

As previously announced, the current President of Sulzer Turbomachinery Services, Ton Büchner, will take on leadership of the Sulzer Pumps division as of January 1, 2003.

The Board and Executive Committee of Sulzer are convinced that under the leadership of Brian McKenzie Sulzer Turbomachinery Services will continue its successful, rapid development.

Sulzer Turbomachinery Services (www.sulzersts.com) is one of the world’s most comprehensive providers of independent repair, overhaul, and maintenance services for thermal turbomachinery. This expanding division of the Sulzer Corporation includes Hickham Industries and Sulzer Enpro in the USA, Sulzer Elbar and Sulzer Repco in the Netherlands, and PT Hickham in Indonesia. Sulzer Turbomachinery Services turned over some CHF 194 million in 2001. The division employs about 800 people worldwide.

The Sulzer Corporation (www.sulzer.com) comprises the four core divisions Sulzer Metco (surface coating technologies and services), Sulzer Turbomachinery Services, Sulzer Pumps (pumping solutions including services), Sulzer Chemtech (chemical process components and technologies) and the venture division Sulzer Hexis (fuel cell systems).
