Social Sustainability

Sulzer assumes its social responsibility for corporate citizenship towards employees, social partners, and society as a whole. Social impact and improvements within the corporation are closely monitored.
Social Performance

  • Sulzer aims to halve the 2006 accident frequency rate (AFR) by 2010, with the long-term goal of zero occupational incidents. The voluntary turnover rate should be kept at a constant level of about 6%. Internal candidates should fill 70% of leadership vacancies.
  • The reduction of the AFR in 2007 shows that Sulzer is heading in the right direction. The voluntary turnover rate was around 6% in 2007, albeit with noticeable variations depending on the site. In the same year, 70% of leadership positions were filled with internal candidates.
