Hidrotecar S.A. - Sulzer Pumps: On November 11, 2011, Sulzer has signed an agreement to acquire the privately-owned pump company Hidrotecar S.A. in Burgos, Spain.
The announced acquisition was completed on January 10, 2012. The acquired company achieved sales of EUR 13 million (approximately CHF 16 million) in 2010; it employs about 50 people. With this acquisition, Sulzer Pumps is adding complementary products to its product range and reinforcing its presence in the attractive water markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Cardo Flow Solutions - Sulzer Pumps: On April 7, 2011, Sulzer and Assa Abloy have signed an agreement for the acquisition of Cardo's Flow Solutions business by Sulzer.
The announced acquisition of Cardo Flow Solutions was completed on July 29, 2011. For a total cash consideration of SEK 5.9 billion (CHF 852 million), Sulzer acquired one of the leading suppliers of pumps and related equipment in the attractive wastewater market. In 2010, Cardo Flow Solutions generated approximately CHF 463 million in sales and an adjusted EBITDA of CHF 67 million, implying a 14.5% EBITDA margin. The business has around 1 900 employees.

C.L. Engenharia - Sulzer Chemtech: On April 15, 2011, Sulzer Chemtech acquired the privately-owned maintenance specialist C.L. Engenharia Ltda. in Brazil. The acquired company achieved sales of BRL 20.6 million (approximately CHF 11.7 million) in 2010. With this acquisition, Sulzer Chemtech will enhance the competitiveness of its tower field service activities in Brazil by adding the competencies of a local contractor with a skilled crew.

Bekaert - Sulzer Metco: On July 1, 2010, Sulzer and Bekaert announced the completion of the acquisition of Bekaert's diamond-like carbon (DLC) coatings activities. The transaction value amounts to EUR 11.0 million (CHF 14.5 million). This business with its leading DLC technology achieved sales of EUR 12.5 million (CHF 16.5 million) in 2009. The acquisition will expand the geographical presence and complement the technology range of Sulzer Metco in the thin-film coatings market.

Dowding & Mills - Sulzer Turbo Services: With the acquisition of Dowding & Mills, Sulzer intends to strengthen its service business. The electromechanical activities of Dowding &Mills will expand Sulzer's technical competences and complement the current activities of Sulzer Turbo Services. The acquisition creates a leading independent provider of maintenance and repair services for turbomachinery, generators and motors with potential for further geographic expansion. Founded in 1919, Dowding &Mills is one of the largest independent repair and maintenance providers for generators, motors, and associated equipment. With its quality repair and remanufacturing service, the company provides a fast alternative to replacement of motors and generators. Dowding &Mills achieved annual sales of GBP 125.5 million (CHF 213 million) in the twelve months ended on June 30, 2009.

Manfred Preu Kolonnenservice – Sulzer Chemtech: On October 7, the company Manfred Preu Kolonnenservice in Germany was acquired. The purchase price is up to EUR 2.5 million (approximately CHF 3.8 million) depending on the future performance. Subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions, the closing of the acquisition is expected in September 2009. The annual sales of the business averaged approximately EUR 2.3 million (approximately CHF 3.5 million) over the past years. With this acquisition, Sulzer Chemtech will further expand its geographical presence as the leading global specialized tower field service provider.

SAB Technical Services – Sulzer Chemtech: On July 31, 2009, the Company SAB Technical Services (India) was acquired. The purchase price for SAB Technical Services (India) Pvt. Ltd is at USD 5.75 million (approximately CHF 6.2 million) depending on the future performance. The acquired company's annual sales is approximately USD 4 million (approximately CHF 4.3 million) and employs around 50 employees. With this acquisition, Sulzer Chemtech will further expand its geographical presence as a leading global specialized tower field service provider. SAB is a recognized specialist in tower field services with more than 20 years of experience and is mainly active in India and Singapore.

Kühni AG – Sulzer Chemtech: On April 30, 2009, the company Kühni AG, based in Allschwil, Switzerland was acquired.Kühni AG is an expert in thermal, diffusional and membrane separation technology for the separation and purification of aqueous and organic mixtures. Kühni is also present in the USA and active in Asia. Sales generated in 2008 amounted to approximately CHF 37 million.

TowerTech – Sulzer Chemtech: On January 15, 2009, the TowerTech companies based in Australia were acquired. TowerTech is a specialist in tower field services and is mainly active in Australia, Singapore, Thailand, and other Asian countries such as Indonesia, India and Malaysia.The purchase price amounted to AUD 11 million. Annual sales of about AUD 10 million.

Capime – Sulzer Turbo Services: On December 2, 2008, the assets of Capime – a Latin American service provider with main activities in Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, and Venezuela – were acquired.The purchase price amounted to approximately USD 19 million. Annual sales of about USD 12 million.

Mixpac, Werfo and Mold – Sulzer Chemtech: On December 31, 2006, the companies Mixpac, Werfo, and Mold were acquired. Mixpac, Werfo, and Mold develop and produce two-component mixers and systems.Main locations are in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. The purchase price amounted to CHF 224 million. The combined sales amounted to about CHF 110 million.

Paco pumps business – Sulzer Pumps: On February 28, 2006, Sulzer sold the Paco pumps business to the Grundfos Group. The selling price amounted to USD 24 million. The sales amounted to about USD 39 million.

Ambeon division – Sulzer Metco: On January 1, 2004 the Ambeon division was acquired from the Westaim Corporation in Calgary, Canada. The purchase price was CAD 35 million. The acquired companies generated annual sales of about CAD 41 million.
